Healing Crystals for Heart Problems: Ditch That Nasty Breakup Energy
It has always been fascinating to me how many physicians smoke, how many are overweight, how many do not manage stress or sleep. The evidence for how to live a healthy life is readily available to anyone willing to dig a little, and doctors have firsthand experience with who is and who is not healthy, and which factors play the biggest part.
As a witch who practices magic firmly based in evidence and working with the law of attraction, it is critical to practice what I preach.
As someone who works as a healer and a helper, I must also be working to maintain total wellness. Or I would be a big hypocrite, wouldn’t I?
When it comes to matters of the heart, whether emotional or physical, the treatments are the same. You need to take a total wellness approach to healing yourself, and you can target your heart specifically along the way. Healing crystals for heart problems are just the beginning. An entire list of practices to put into place is available here to keep you, and your heart, in tip top shape.
Remember, crystals do nothing on their own. You, too, must do the work, while you trust in the energy of your stones to do their work as well.

Your Heart Is Home
It is true. Your heart is the center of all activity in your body. Your body can survive if you are brain dead. Not true of your heart. Your spirit can still inhabit your body with zero brain activity. Not true of your heart. As soon as your heart stops, you stop. Period. Heart attacks are the leading cause of death among men and women in the US.
Your heart is also critical to all spiritual and emotional activity in which you engage. Anytime you do anything with less than your whole heart, you know it. And you feel it. Your positive energy lags as a result. You start to feel bad about yourself. You begin to occupy a negative space.
On the contrary, when you engage in activity with your whole heart, it not only fills you up, it spills out onto others as well. You serve from a full vessel, and your vessel refills like magic. Love is the truest magic there is.
It is therefore essential you care for your heart like it is an absolute treasure to your very existence.
Because it is.
For this reason, the healing crystals you use for heart problems must address both spiritual and physical health.
How to Care for Your Physical Heart
The most important things to remember about your physical heart health is that the heart pumps blood throughout your body, and it is directly connected to your immune system. Anything you do to improve your blood or immune system will also improve your heart. And anything you do to improve your heart will also help the other two. It’s all connected.
Run Like the River
A great practice to get into is to take up a cardiovascular activity like running. If you are out of practice or pretty overweight, you can start with walking, then fast walking, and ultimately running. The goal is to get your heart beating at 50 to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate. To calculate your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from 220. Healthline has a good workup on how to figure it all out.
Bottom line, get your heart racing most days of the week. It improves your heart, your blood circulation, and your immune system. Indeed, the British Medical Journal recently published a study that showed any amount of running is linked to a significantly lower risk of death. Yay!
Change Your Diet Change Yourself
You are what you eat is not just a silly old saying. You actually are what you eat. Load up on processed foods, saturated fats, and grease, and that is what your body becomes. A giant McDonald’s Cheeseburger.
Introduce new foods like dark leafy greens, beets, and garlic and onions into your daily diet, and you will find, like magic, that you not only begin to crave less crap but also have more energy for the running you should be out doing!
Be sure to be gentle with yourself. We all start somewhere. You don’t have to cut out all the unhealthy foods right now or even ever. You can still have the occasional trip through the drive-thru. Just be more mindful of what you eat. And when.
Try Intermittent Fasting
Now, let me be really clear. I am not a fad dieter. I never have been. Fad diets are actually really bad for your heart, your weight, and your health overall.
So when I talk about intermittent fasting, I am not talking about severely restricting your calories to lose a ton of weight and get skinny. I am talking about giving your body a 12 – 14 hour break every day. Stop eating 2 to 3 hours before bed, and don’t eat again for at least the first hour after you wake up. If you sleep 8 hours, you have officially fasted for 12 at that point. This process has shown tremendous benefits to your heart health.
Sleep Like It’s Your Job
Because it is.
Someone recently asked me if they might be the exception to the 8 hours a night rule.
“No.” I had no problem saying.
No. No evidence has shown that you can expect lifelong health on less than 7 hours a night of sleep. Aim for 8, and if you fall short of your goal, you will at least hit in the 7 hour range. Of course science will never say never. But it is true that effectively no evidence says you can short yourself on sleep and be healthy.
This is not a gamble you want to take.
Sleep like it’s your job.
How to Care for Your Spiritual and Emotional Heart
Truly, your metaphysical heart is just as important as your physical one. You need to ensure you are practicing regular self-care to ensure you have a healthy heart in all ways.
Meditate
Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day, first thing in the morning. I usually start my day with 15 to 20 minutes of yoga to wake up and then sit on my mat for meditation. It’s good for your mental and emotional well-being, which reduces your stress levels, which is good for your heart.
Set and Hold Boundaries
I don’t like to think of myself as being protective of my heart because that feels defensive and reactionary, which are negatives, and positives are always better energetically than negatives. But you should prepare your heart each day to stay well. You can do this by setting firm boundaries. Tell yourself what you are and are not willing to do, take, be. And then stay firm in those decisions.
Practicing setting and holding boundaries gives you a strong emotional connection to yourself and to the divine.
Pay Attention to Red Flags
A lot of people I have talked to, especially women, repeat negative cycles with people in their lives over and over, which is not good for your mental health or your heart.
Learn to recognize the red flags you have witnessed in your life before. When someone has hurt you, it is okay to forgive, but forgetting can lead you to not holding boundaries. All bad for your heart.
