In this world of instant messaging and easy conveniences, we’ve unwittingly trained our minds to expect immediate results. Thanks to technology, we don’t have to wait for weeks before receiving letters by post. We don’t even have to spend hours cooking — we just need to heat up food in the microwave for a couple of minutes.
While these and many other conveniences give us more time to do other things, we’ve become so used to quick results that waiting becomes a chore. In fact, being patient can even make many people anxious. Without instant answers, they feel as though they’re missing out or they’ve done something wrong.
The same thing happens when we’re manifesting; we want results now. We want what we want now. It’s actually why many people remain skeptical about manifesting and the Law of Attraction; they have this mistaken notion that if something really works, it should work immediately. The longer it takes, the more they doubt the process. However, what they don’t realize is that, like all good things, the Law of Attraction takes time.
Just how long does the Law of Attraction take to work?
The answer to our million-dollar question isn’t so cut-and-dry. There are actually several factors that affect how long before you can manifest something or even someone. Here are some of the most important ones to take note of:
- How big or small your desire is
- How clear you are about your desires
- Your belief and attachment in what you want to achieve
- The energy and effort you exert in the manifestation process
Keep in mind that every individual is unique, which means every one of us emits a different vibrational frequency on varying levels. Because this energy differs from one person to another, no one can really say how long it would take for our desires to become a reality.
However, you might reasonably expect a certain amount of time to pass depending on how big or small your desire is. For instance, if you’re trying to manifest a small desire, like a text message or call, the Law of Attraction might work between 24 hours and seven days.
Of course, the bigger the desire, the more time it takes. A medium-sized desire, like a relationship, can take between one and seven weeks before it can be manifested. A large desire, such as getting a new job or having financial freedom, can take up to six months to as long as 10 years or even more.
While it’s true that the Law of Attraction takes time to work, there are ways you can speed up the manifestation process. I’m not saying there’s a shortcut — there isn’t — but these tips can help you have the right attitude towards manifesting, which can positively affect the outcome:
Since the Universe reflects the energy you put out, having a vague desire won’t work very well. After all, if you don’t know exactly what you want in the first place, how will the Universe help bring it to reality?
Thus, it’s important to have a well-defined goal. Don’t just say you want to have a lot of money. “A lot of money” is a pretty relative statement. What may be a lot to you might be just a small amount for someone else. This is why it’s important to be very specific — not just about how much you want but when you want it. You can say something like, “By the end of 2022, I will have an extra $1,000 every month.”
The Law of Attraction is more than just positive thinking; it’s believing in what you’re trying to manifest. If you don’t believe you can manifest an extra $1,000 every month until the end of the year, then it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Since your belief isn’t strong, then you won’t take the necessary steps to make it come true. Without this belief, you won’t be as committed to succeeding.
Believing in your goal also means you need to be patient about it. For most people, it’s definitely impossible to have $1,000 after just one day. You need to work patiently towards that goal. With patience, you give yourself a reasonable amount of time to manifest that which you desire.
Now I know this is going to sound a bit contradictory, but follow me on this one. You need to be detached while trying to manifest your goal. Don’t get me wrong; you still need to believe in your goal, but you don’t need to obsess over it to the point of feeling anxious. Being detached from your desire means you need to be okay with the thought that you might not actually get it.
When you’re able to enjoy things as they are and are grateful for what you currently have, you won’t be so anxious to achieve your goal. Remember that anxiety, anger, and impatience emit negative energies that actually push your goal farther away from being manifested. On the other hand, gratitude and satisfaction will actually help you reach your goal faster. In fact, you might not even get your goal because you’re destined to receive something better from the Universe.
It’s normal to sometimes feel that the Law of Attraction isn’t working in your life. The thing is, the Law of Attraction is like gravity; it always works. The question of how long the Law of Attraction takes to work just varies from every person. It just takes some time, patience, and commitment on your part. What’s important is to never give up and keep working towards your desire with patience and commitment. One day for sure, your efforts will bear fruit!
