Numerology Quotes: Divine Inspiration
Math is easily one of the coolest ways to understand the universe, life, and communication. It is called the universal language for a reason. So it stands to reason that math and numbers would be yet another way, and a profound one at that, to communicate with the divine.
Numerology has been used to communicate with the divine, to understand our higher purpose here on earth, and to navigate our lives with open hearts and intention for thousands of years.
The history of numerology dates back to the Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras, who discovered in 500 BC a direct relationship between numbers and musical notes.
Pythagoras then went on to use his knowledge of numbers and the vibrations of music to give accurate descriptions of people’s personalities based on their birthdates.
Numerology ultimately led us to the zodiac.
Numerology and the zodiac are also linked to tarot and oracle cards.
Surprise. Surprise. It’s all connected.
And since those days, we have numerology quotes, divination quotes, and quotes about the universe and God from some of the greatest thinkers on earth. Those thinkers offer us an opportunity for even greater divine inspiration than if we were to go it alone.

Why We Need Divination
A common question I get is why we need divination in the first place.
Divination is defined as communicating with the Universe, God, or “the Divine,” using tools like cards, runes, crystals, meditation, the zodiac, and numerology, among others.
Fortunately, art always offers answers to these questions, and I’ve got two great films scenes that perfectly encapsulate why we can’t just talk to “God” directly – why we need divination tools.
First, the movie Dogma sums it up quite succinctly. In the film, God has to take the form of a human, in this case Alanis Morissette, in order to communicate with humans. This concept is the same as that of Jesus. The theory goes that our limited human brains would explode if they conceived of God in all His divine totality.
You’ve heard that we humans only use 10% of our brain power at once?
Right.
So God, the Universe, the Divine, is all knowing, all powerful, and all present. That’s far far beyond even 100% of the human brain capacity. It is, by definition, limitless.
If a human were able to completely and perfectly conceive of God, our brains would explode, we would lose our minds.
Abraham Hicks sums it up nicely when they say that if we were to have the same powers as the Universe, we in our limited human capacity would be totally and completely distracted at all times, completely incapable of focusing on any one thing.
Imagine it, for every single decision, every single choice, every single action, we would be able to comprehend all possibilities, all eventualities, all potentialities.
Which brings me to my next film reference.
There’s a great scene in Marvel’s Infinity War when Dr. Strange goes into a state of meditation to determine which outcome will allow the Avengers to defeat Thanos.
While he is in this meditation, you can see his head twitching, turning, spinning, over and over and over and he observes millions of potential outcomes based on millions of potential actions.
This is what we would be like at all times if we had a totally open unobstructed concept of God at all times.
The Power of Limitation
Jordan Peterson, who has become quite the biblical scholar in his life, has discussed this concept of our human limitation recently in a podcast.
He cited a Jewish proverb that asks the question: “If God is all knowing, all powerful, and in all places at all times, why did He create man? Man is so limited, and God already has, can be, and can do everything.”
The answer: “there must be tremendous value in limitation.”
There must be great power in limitation.
Most spiritual scholars will agree that the purpose of human existence is the play, to live, to… well… experience.
That the human experience offers expansion to the Universe, God, in a way that is defined simply by its experience. That God is only good, only love, and only light, and always offering that love and light to humans.
It is we humans, in our limited capacity, who block ourselves with darkness, fear, anger, hatred, pain, and suffering.
That we are born whole and complete, and the human experience breaks us up into divided parts, ego, superego, personality, emotion, etc.
And that throughout our lives, within our limitations, we reach for the divine to bring ourselves back to wholeness through connecting over and over again with the divine.
And how do we connect?
Divination.
Divination tools, like numerology, serve as a function of reconnecting to God in ways our human brains can handle.
What to Know About Divination
So how do you get really good at divination?
Whether it is tarot or zodiac, crystals or numerology, it is important to know a couple of things.
You will never get it perfect.
You are human, and as long as you are alive, you will be limited by your human experience.
Therefore any divination you do, whether you are Jesus, or Abraham Hicks, must pass through your human experience.
If you want to get really good at divination, like Jesus or Abraham Hicks, you must get really good at becoming an open, clear channel.
Get out of your ego, out of your head space, out of your awareness of self, and step into your higher consciousness, the part of you that is directly connected to the Divine and cannot be disconnected no matter what.
You can block it. But you cannot disconnect from it.
The Universe does not speak in negatives.
God does not understand evil, bad, darkness, negativity. So you will never get a communication from the divine warning you, cautioning you, giving you omens, or anything of the like.
God speaks in “go this way,” “over here!” “try this!” All positives, all forward motion, all love and all light all the time.
If you want to connect, you must match that frequency.
You cannot channel the Universe from a place of sadness or despair, anger or frustration. God cannot hear you, thus you will not be able to hear God.
So, feel your sadness, your anger, your despair, and when you are ready to communicate with the divine, step into your neutral space, get into your loving self, and then reach out.
From that place, you can channel.
You can use your divination tools.
Numerology Quotes
For inspiration, I am including some quotes about numerology, the divine, and the power of the Universe. Reference these when you are ready to step into your highest self and work with your divination tools.
“Human beings are destroying earth and the universe by abuse of numerology, what I will not allow by my deep spiritual responsibility.” ~ Petra Hermans
This quote goes to the notions above that divination cannot be negative. Any humans using divination to speak in negatives, to allow darkness, or to justify darkness, are not divining. They are operating from a place of ego.
“Computer Science: A study akin to numerology and astrology, but lacking the precision of the former and the success of the latter.” ~Stan Kelly-Bootle
Again, when done correctly, when practiced from a place of clear and open channel, divination is precise and successful.
It comes down to this: you must be in the proper place, operating from a place of positive intention, and get really clear on what it is you are asking. Then you can expect precision.
“Mathematics is the language with which God wrote the Universe.”
~Galileo
This one needs no explanation, right?
“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Set the positive intention. Get clear on it. Then have faith that it will happen.
Then wait to be surprised and delighted by how it does.
This last one is a favorite of mine because it speaks directly to what so many people, even deeply spiritual people who study divination, the Universe, and the law of attraction, do not understand.
You cannot change the world. You cannot fix the world. You cannot have an impact on anything except yourself.
You must spend your entire life working on yourself.
Develop yourself, fix yourself, heal yourself.
And in so doing, you will develop the world, fix the world, and heal the world.
It has to begin, and remain, within.
That’s it! I hope you have a wonderful time channeling the divine through numerology or whichever tools work best for you. Remember to take it all lightly, gently, and softly. You cannot get it wrong or make a mistake.
Play. Have fun. Enjoy yourself.
Happy manifesting!
