The Best Chakra for Manifestation: Open Up

If you are just venturing into the world of the law of attraction, it can be frustrating to feel like you are not getting the results you want.

Maybe you have watched The Secret, and heard the many brilliant and experienced people talk about how manifestation is simply a matter of believing. Perhaps you have even listened to a few YouTube talks from Abraham Hicks discussing how to get your manifestations “out of the vortex and into the bank!”

Yes, it can be immensely frustrating to want so hard to believe in something, to believe in yourself, and to fall short time and again.

The Best Way To Open Your Third Eye

One tip I always give people who ask me about manifestation is that a key aspect of manifesting anything is learning to calm the mind and focus. And there is no better practice than to calm the mind and focus on your chakras. Then, you can learn to focus on the best chakra for manifestation.

Calm the Mind

The first step, long before you can begin to work on opening up and clearing your chakras, is to calm your mind.

Time and again I struggled with this seemingly simple step. How to calm the mind in a crazy busy world? So many of us struggle with this concept, so know that you are not alone. At the same time, know that calming your mind is the most important part of manifestation. If you cannot calm your mind, you cannot manifest. Because manifestation requires focus. A busy mind cannot focus.

Meditation

Meditation is the most obvious form of calming your mind. You surely have heard that Zen proverb: “You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”

Yes, meditation is that important for manifestation.

If you are new to meditation, it is best to start small. Try sitting still in silence for the first 10 minutes of every day. Some tips for focusing include:

  • Breathwork

Breathe in for a count of four then out for a count of three. It helps keep your mind focused on your breath rather than your thoughts.

  • Use a flame

Staring into a flickering flame gives you a physical point of focus.

  • Tell yourself “thinking”

Whenever you find your thoughts wandering, just lightly say “thinking” and bring yourself back to breath. This is a tip from Buddhist monk Pema Chodron

  • Work down your chakras

Make your way down your chakras and focus on the power of each one as you sit in silence.

The Chakras

That last tip is actually one of my favorites. When I sit for meditation, I always begin with my chakras. I start at the top and work my way down, focusing on what each chakra does for me and lightly dusting off my chakras mentally to clear them up.

The Order of the Chakras

Understanding the order of the chakras and the purpose of each is helpful for meditation and manifestation purposes, because often manifestation is the result of multiple chakras functioning at the same time.

Abraham Hicks, the first to really discuss Law of Attraction in our time, has said that chakras are merely a matter of keeping focus. And I think this is more true than we realize. You do not have to believe each specific part of your body is actually holding inherent power. You just have to understand that your body holds power, that your spirit is infinitely wise, and that you can truly have anything you desire in this lifetime if you can focus.

Chakras give us a point of focus.

There are seven chakras, and each one represents an innate power all humans hold within us, a touch point for our divine wisdom. We hold pain inside as well as love, fear as well as power, anger and sadness. And each chakra holds different memories, emotions, and hopes and dreams based on what those are and how they may relate to us. Anodea Judith has a great book, Wheel of Life, that teaches all about the chakras. You can check out her website here.

As you meditate, you can work your way down from top to bottom, clearing each chakra:

  • Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is your direct connection to divine wisdom. It is where you get your direct download of intuition from the source of all energy to the drop of energy that is you. Clearing this chakra and opening it up for the day allows you to be guided through the day by intuition, by spirit, rather than by ego. Ego gets in the way of manifestation.

  • Third Eye Chakra

The third eye chakra allows you to see the world clearly and purely, as it is, without outside stories or narrative. This chakra allows us to have compassion for others as well as to see through lies and disguises.

  • Throat Chakra

The throat chakra helps you speak your truth. Clearing this chakra will encourage you to speak out, to tell the truth, and not to hold yourself back or make yourself small to please others.

  • Heart Chakra

The heart chakra is the center of the law of love. A yoga teacher once told the class I was in to lead with our heart chakras, not matter what pose we were in. She said we would always find our balance if we kept our heart chakra out and open. It was great advice for the class. It is also great advice for your daily meditation. Lead with your heart out and open and you are sure to stay balanced throughout the day. Closing your heart is ego based.

Strength. The very first word I think of when I think of the solar plexus chakra is strength. This is the root of every action you take, every decision you make, and everything you manifest. If you can clear your solar plexus chakra, you can make sound, wise decisions that never lead you astray.

  • Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra is where we create. Life is created in the woman’s womb, right at the sacral chakra. But we also create when we paint or write, when we sing or dance. When we build businesses, we are creating. The sacral chakra is essential to anything we want to create from a place of authenticity.

And finally, your grounding chakra. The root chakra reminds you to stay present, to feel the earth beneath your feet, to walk lightly but firmly, and to bloom wherever you are planted. You belong here, wherever here may be.

So you see how all of the chakras can really be responsible for manifestation? If you are trying to make a baby, you need your sacral chakra. If you are manifesting love, you need your heart chakra. If you hope to make money, you need your solar plexus chakra. But in addition to each of those, you also need your crown chakra, your third eye chakra, and your root chakra.

The chakras work in concert, never alone, and the trick is that if even one of them is blocked, you will find yourself in an ego space. You cannot manifest from ego space.

Blocked Chakras Are Triggers

How do you know if you have a blocked chakra? Simple, you’re allowing your triggers to guide you through your day rather than divine wisdom, your spirit.

It’s okay.

We’re all triggered all the time. You can still manifest if you are triggered. But you cannot manifest if your focus is on your triggers.

So, you will have to do the work to look at your triggers. I read this great quote once that said something to the effect of “your triggers are your problem.”

It was not said in a snide or sarcastic way. It was genuinely saying that your triggers are a problem to work on. So do the work. If you notice you are triggered – something makes you angry or frustrated, impatient or emotional, look at it. Sit with it. Address it, and clear the chakra.

Then do it again.

And again.

And again.

Now You Know Which Chakra Is the Best Manifesting

That’s it. Once you do the work clearing your chakras, stepping into your divine space, and doing the work over and over again, you will find manifestation coming more easily, and you will learn better which chakra to focus on for which kind of manifestation.

Because the answer is, as usual, it depends.

What is it you are trying to manifest? No matter what it is, you need a clear crown chakra, so you can listen to your intuition. Your heart chakra must be clear and open so you know you are leading from a place of compassion and openness. And your solar plexus chakra must be clear so you can trust your gut and be strong and forceful in your decision making. Confidence is everything.

From there, think about what it is you are trying to manifest, and focus heavily on opening and clearing the chakra that best relates to the thing you are trying to manifest.
