One of the very first things you have to learn when you become a witch is how to cast protection spells on you, your house, and everything you do.
I can’t say this enough: never work without protection.
When you do spell-work without protection, or even simple divination like tarot or oracle cards, you will mess with the energy so much that not only will your spells and other workings fail, but they could backfire on you.
How do protection spells work?
How to cast a protection spell
What a lot of people have trouble understanding is how to do a protection spell, but it is so much simpler than you think it is.
More than anything a protection spell is about the intention of protecting the person or place you want to keep from harm. It’s important that while you are performing a protection ritual that you really focus on that and manifest it into reality as the spell comes to life.
How to cast a home protection spell
Sometimes, a protection spell is as easy as imagining a white light encompassing you, your home, and everything you want to bathe in a beautiful warm light of protection.
How to cast a protection spell on someone
When you cast a white light protection spell, you can physically feel the positive energy roll over you, the people, and the things around you as the negative energy is blocked and pushed away from the things and people you want to protect.
Sometimes though, we need a little extra protection. More protection than light and energy alone can provide, and that’s why I came up with this protection ward spell jar that you can place around your home once you create it.
Protection Spell Jar
To create an effective protection spell, you need the following things:
- A Cleansed Jar
- Himalayan Salt
- Cinnamon Essential Oil
- White Candle
- Rain Water
- A personal ingredient (a small rock or flower that means something to the person you want to protect)
How to Make a Protection Spell Jar
- Cleanse your jar.
- Add a few pieces of Himalayan salt and a little bit of lavender to the bottom of your jar.
- Add 5 drops of cinnamon essential oil and little bits of your carnelian crystals.
- Put your personal ingredient into the jar to activate the spell.
- Fill your jar the rest of the way with rain water.
- Seal your jar with white wax.
While you are creating your protection jar you need to really think about the protection of the person or place you’re wanting the spell to provide protection for. Take your time.
This is a super simple protection spell that can be cast at any time.
